It Started On Deployment, Not In A Boardroom
Pikes Peak Protection Group wasn’t dreamed up in a strategy meeting. It was founded by a military professional with firsthand experience in high-stakes environments, including three combat tours in Afghanistan and a specialized security detail in Turkey.
After transitioning into the private protection industry, it quickly became clear that too many local security guard companies were sending undertrained guards to do a job that demanded real preparation. Guards who didn’t know how to respond to a real threat. Companies that hired based on availability instead of experience. Clients who assumed a uniform meant competence, only to find out otherwise when it mattered most.
That’s why Pikes Peak Protection Group was founded. Every officer we hire must meet Colorado’s requirements to legally work as a security guard, carry military or law enforcement experience, and have a proven track record as a protection officer, because a professional security guard company is only as good as the people it puts on-site.

Adrian Smith
Founder & CEO
Adrian brings 15 years of U.S. Army experience, including three combat tours in Afghanistan and a specialized detail in Turkey, to every security plan Pikes Peak Protection Group builds. After his military service, he spent years working in the private protection industry before founding a security guard company that holds itself to a higher standard. When he’s not reviewing a client’s security plan, Adrian is personally training new officers.
